Last Days of My Summer Break…It’s crazy how fast time flies. I know it’s cliche but I really feel like summer just started. On the bright side, it’s good to be back in Oxford, Mississippi. I have started a new job as an Account Executive for the Daily Mississippian, Ole Miss’s award winning on campus newspaper. I will also be starting my fashion and media internship with one of the boutiques in the area (I will talk about it more in an upcoming post.)
This was my second time visiting New Town (last seen here). The weather and the town was gorgeous on this day. A little hot, high 90’s, yet still charming and delightful. My mother and I spent the evening strolling through the park and indulging in some wonderful ice cream. It’s always nice to unwind and relax after a long day of working.
Bonnidell’s Ice Cream is soo delicious! I had one scoop of classic chocolate and chocolate chip cookie dough. Seriously, this is the best ice cream I have ever indulged in. Ice Cream is one of my all time favorites. Unfortunately, because of the heat after this photo was taken I got ice cream ALL over my dress and shoes. It was melting faster than I could eat it! :) If you follow me on snapchat: daninicran, then you probably saw this catastrophe unfolding. It was a bummer, but luckily I was able to get the stain out.
Blue Dress (under $20)// Lulu’s Oxford Clutch: similar here// Jessica Simpson Wedge (love these here)// Marc Jacobs Sunglasses: similar here and here// Viva La Juicy Fragrance// YSL Lip Stain: #26// OPI Nail Polish: Can’t Find My Czechbook//
This dress is extremely comfortable. The material is lightweight and it surprisingly kept me cool on this hot summer day. I paired my outfit with these Jessica Simpson wedges and this clutch from Lulu’s Oxford. It’s funny how a few years ago I hated wearing wedges and now I can’t seem to stop buying them.I hope everyone is enjoying their last few days of summer. I would love to hear some of your plans for the fall. Are you working? Are you starting school? What will you be up to?
